afternoons......

It all starts @ 2:30pm and just gets crazier from there. First Chantel comes home and just a few minutes later Paul will get home. Then it's time for Chelsea to come home and then Abby and Madalyn are done by 3:30. All of the sudden the silence that has been in my home for the last 5 or so hours is gone. Chaos totally erupts as I try to make sense of their schedules, events, activities and priorities for the day.

Who has homework?
Who doesn't?
Where do you need to be?
At what time?
When will you be done?
What's for dinner?
Who's papers are these?
Where are you playing?
Where are you going?

It's constant motion from that point on. I have six schedules to keep track of. Appointments, conferences, meetings and phone calls. Is it any wonder that I go to bed with a headache so often? My mind races as I try to sleep. I wake up so many times and can't turn off my brain. Remembering who has what and where and why for the next day. I love 9 am because for just a while I'm on my own time and schedule :)
