School's in...

So, school started this week for the girls. Yipee! That's all I can say...they have been so incredibly bored this summer and that last month of summer drove me absolutely crazy. Bless their hearts, but they don't plan anything and literally flop around the house all day. Thank goodness for summer band for Abby because I think that her brain was getting so squishy that it was ready to ooze out of her ears!

I have been so stricken with anxiety over this semester and starting the accounting program that I feel sick all day. I have got to dress "professional" on the first day of school so they can take pictures of the students. Really? Can't I just have "no picture available" for mine? I rarely wear nice clothes..my wardrobe is jeans, t-shirts and shorts. Nice and comfy stuff. I found a nice pinstripe grey pencil skirt and cute ruffle black pumps..but don't know what to wear on top. I wear cardigans alot but trying on what I have makes me feel frumpy and old. Grrr....I need a personal shopper!

Anyway...I purchased my textbooks.....guess how much?? Six hundred and forty-nine dollars!! Makes me sick to think about how much that is. Good news though...I received two scholarships, tuition benefits plus a grant so I'm getting paid to go. Makes it easier to stomach those dollar amounts, I suppose.

Picked up a quilt from American Quilting..now I need to bind it and finish the back for these other two quilts...My hands will be busy when I'm not shoving my brain full of accounting information :)

And, I was released from YW president. I really did enjoy the calling... don't get me wrong...it was hard and time-consuming but I really did come to enjoy hanging out with our YW. They were sweethearts and really awesome group of girls. I learned so much about faith and testimony and charity :)

So...that's the update...I'm off to go shopping again...must find myself a new outfit....
