what a week...

It has been quite the week. First was the lovely birthday experiences..I'm really not bitter ;) Then there was the kitten that we brought home a week ago, on Saturday. Well, long story short, she passed away on Wednesday. What a terrible day. Poor little kitten was just so tiny and probably sick before we got her. I took her to the vet and the couldn't help her. It was awful to tell the girls one at a time as they got home from school what had happened. Four different times..and I was in tears each time. We called her Marcie. We got a sympathy card in the mail today from the vet. Very sweet.



Yesterday, the receptionist called up and said that she knew that it was soon after Marcie had passed away, but she had a kitten for us if we wanted her. She has already been spayed and had most of her shots. Paul drove right on over and brought her home just as the girls started getting home from school. She older than the other kitten and seriously, she seems like ten times bigger. They've decided to call her Lucy.
