fall has arrived...
I think it's safe to say that Autumn is here. We had quite a bit of rain and wind over the weekend and I've been in socks all day long. An extra quilt is going on the bed tonight and we've brought out the Cocomotion for hot chocolate. Yummy!
Been busy working on a few things.
-I've been sewing a ball gown for the MVHS play "My Fair Lady". They've given me an original pattern from the 1900's to work from and they sure are different from today's patterns that spell out everything step by step with pictures. I'm just kind of doing it my own way and hoping that it turns out! Chantel hasn't had very many practices yet, so that's been nice for her.
-I've also been calling for volunteers for a few PTA needs. Can I say that I hate it that no one is ever home and that no one ever calls back when I leave messages! Grr....
-I bought a really cute HAlloween quilt kit the other weekend and I'm just itching to get started on it. I told myself that the silly dress needs to be done first though. THe other quilt that I was working on has been set aside for a bit, since it's got more of a red, white & blue patriotic look to it.
-Started looking into Halloween costumes for the girls. Madalyn can't make up her mind. It's either a vampire or a pirate at this point. Abby doesn't know either...picked out a Medieval looking dress....ummmm don't think so....don't want to be sewing that one! Chelsea is going to use her History Day outfit and is thinking of being a school girl. Chantel wants to be Little Debbie. Funny...
On the lines of my kids are growing up and it's freaking me out....Chantel started looking into college applications for both BYU and the U of U. So totally weird to think of her being that old! So by default, that makes me even older! Super ;)
