prom...

It was Prom weekend here. Chantel was asked a few weeks ago by a friend of hers and she's been pretty excited by the whole thing :) After looking at a few stores, she decided on this fushia dress. Fit beautifully and only required me taking off four inches from the hemline. She's not very tall, you know... Anyway, their day date involved some sort of scanvenger hunt/road rally. Still not sure I understood the whole thing, but they had a good time. After that was done, she came home and then went to the hair salon for her hair-do. Took just about an hour to do but as I was picking her up fro that, I remembered that she hadn't picked up her corsage and it was just after five. We didn't know for sure when the flower shop closed but we made it over there and they were still opened. Chantel was a little worried and felt really bad that she had forgotten it! Did her make-up and slipped on the dress. She looked very pretty. We took a few pictures in the neighbor's front yard, because quite frankly, theirs looks so much better than ours. David came, they exchanged flowers, took some more pictures and off they went with the other couple. They went to take portraits first then over to dinner at Chefs Table. I think that they ended up with just about ten couples in their group. She loved the food and they spent quite a while over there. They arrived at the dance just before ten. Danced away till eleven-thirty and true to his word, David had her home before midnight. I waited up for her and we chatted for quite a bit about her evening. I loved hearing about it and am so happy that the evening went so well for her and her friends.
