We started Monday by heading over to the Newseum. A museum dedicated to all forms of news..print, broadcast and otherwise. We though that Chantel would really enjoy it since it goes with her major in school. We took pictures from the balcony .. it was right on Pennsylvania Avenue. Cool, huh?

They had a section of the Berlin Wall inside to with a display. Interesting reading about the Wall coming down. They had part of a watch tower too.

In another part of the museum, you could act as a news reporter. Read the teleprompter and report on a story. It was fun to watch later on. :) Just practice for a future career!

After quite a few hours, we walked over to the CApitol. We just walked up to it and then around it. We didn't do a tour but I don't think by then any of us really wanted too.

We walked over to the Library of Congress and went inside. Unfortunately, it was real close to closing time and we didn't get to wander around too much. More original documents on display that Chantel loved and Jefferson's library too was also on display. We would have like to have spent more time in here.

And more statues to pose with!

We took the Metro back to our hotel and then headed out to dinner. We ate at Elephant & Castle and it was delish. Yummy food and even dessert to top it off. We had a slow waiter so we took a long time eating..it was all good..we were exhausted. Went back to the hotel and did Sudoko and crossword puzzles to pass the time. One more day left...
