reminder...
As I was cooking dinner yesterday, I had a little helper with me by the name of Madalyn. She was adding the spices and rinsing the dishes for me. She stopped for just a moment and asked,
"Why do moms do all the work?"
Now, I wasn't feeling particularly charitable and probably wouldn't have given the loving answer that should have been spoken so I said,
"Why don't you go into the other room and ask your dad."
I was feeling a little smug when I heard her go in and ask. Hoping, maybe, for a little guilt on Paul's part. Not very kind of me, I know. But Madalyn came back out and told me what Dad said,
"It's because you love all of us. And he goes out and earns the money for us."
And there you have it. A very simple reminder as to why I'm cooking and cleaning and driving and nagging ;) It's because I love all of them and I want to see them succeed. I am a mother and a wife. I serve each and every day to help the ones I love the most.

LOL! Just when we think we're gonna get the upperhand, our dear husbands smack a little reality into us, huh!? ;o)
Well, I've enjoyed my visit to reminder..., but I'm not sure it's what I was looking for. I was actually searching for articles on cabbage - these search engines are weird! Just thought I'd say hello while I'm here :0)
