playing catch up...

I sat down yesterday and wrapped all the presents that I've purchased so far. I need two more gifts and then I feel like I can say that the biggest part of shopping is done. Feels so good to have it pretty much under control at this point. I haven't been labeling the gifts so it's been driving the girls crazy not knowing who the gifts are for. It's kind of funny.

The busy holiday season is starting around here too. We went to the girls dance concert at the high school last night, and we've got two parties this weekend to go to. Then there's two more parties the following weekend and I think two band concerts too. Paul is really worried about enjoying the holidays this year...the last few years he was in school and couldn't really be a part of anything or feel relaxed about the holidays. I'm afraid he's already putting too much pressure on the whole thing. I'm really not quite sure what he wants besides gingersnaps and fudge! Just sort of kidding! :)

I started cutting a new quilt yesterday and I don't know where my brain was! I cut a few pieces to small and then had no extra to make up for it and had to rethink what I was planning. I also couldn't handle getting the fat quarters in the right order to make star blocks with enough contrast. I had to fussy-cut an extra scrap to make enough stars. I'll have to take a photo this afternoon to share :)
