March update...
So, obviously it's been a while. I feel bad that anything I want to write just involves school and how crazy it is. Another round of midterms last week...it's a hectic week...but now it's behind me. Seriously so excited for April and the end of this school year :)
Chantel is due in a week and a half. That's crazy...I'll be a grandma soon. She had a couple of baby showers. One in our neighborhood and one with the Hanks family. They were fun plus she got so many cute little outfits. I made her a receiving blanket along with some outfits for the Hanks one.
I also finished a baby quilt for her. When I was pregnant with her...so many years ago..I assumed that I was having a boy and started a boy quilt. I never got it finished before she was born and then I had a girl..so it never got finished...ever. I found it in a bin of unfinished projects and thought it would be cute to finish up for her little baby boy. I already had the top pieced and layered for quilting. Orginally I was going to hand quilt it and had one square in the middle already done. I decided to leave that hand quilted and just machine quilt the rest. It went pretty fast and I used a ticking stripe that I had to bind it. I gave it to her at the nieighborhood shower. It turned out prety cute and it doesn't really even look like it's 21 years old :) It's a pretty classic pattern.
Chels comes around every so often. At least every Sunday because we feed her. School is stressing her out. I understand the feeling :) Hopefully she has a good semester. She's been spending lots and lots of time with the boyfriend. Makes me nervous...I wish she would take some time to stand on her own. Anyway...
Abby has been gone the past few days on a band trip to California. She's been playing with the South County Percussion and really enjoys it. This week she's headed back to California with the high school band. Such the little traveler :) I don't think she's looking forward to another 14 hour bus trip within the same week as the last one.
We've got Madalyn all signed up for city girl's softball. I can't begin to say how much I'm looking forward to it. I don't know if it's the warm weather, being outside or just the excitement of the game. Maybe it's because I'll be done with school :) She's also planning on being involved with the track team at school. They've been practicing and conditioning. Tryouts are the 22nd of the month...I'm hoping she makes the team. It would be a great experience.
And that's a quick update on the fam.....
