evening...

We came back to the campus that evening to check the results of the competition. I believe that we were all shocked to see that they hadn't made it into the finals. But, I still feel that the overall experience was definitely worth it. You learn that you can't always win. Even if you think you will. Hard work won't always pay off the way that you think. But, in the process you will learn things about yourself that you didn't know. So worth it...even without a place in the finals.

On another note, I found the University of Maryland's campus very beautiful. Now, I haven't seen many college campuses, but I really enjoyed the brick buildings & white trim, all reminescient of colonial buildings. Their mascot is the Terapins. "Fear the Turtle." So there are turtle statues all over campus with different themes. Chelsea was happy taking pictures with all the ones we could find.
