update..
On Monday the 25th I started this post:
Sometimes I just wonder where my head is...I had a scrapbooking deadline today....got my stuff all done and delivered it to Angela's. Great...not too much stress this time around..pretty easy stuff to work with...but I FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES OF MY PAGES AND CARDS! Argh! I always like to have a image for later on, in case they get lost or whatever. Oh well...hopefully nothing bad will happen to them.
The first week of school for the girls was nice (for them). It's still hard for Madalyn and me to get up early, but it certainly is nice to have them out the door before 8 am. :) My week however was not so nice. I had a tooth pulled on Tuesday that I didn't originally plan on being done. Kind of a neccessity though. It totally wiped me out for three days. It was weird! I felt so tired and exhausted almost like I had had the flu. My cheek swelled up and I bruised from the extraction too. That was lame :) But I'm doing better now...missing tooth and all ;)
I finished a quilt top sans the border too. It's another one of those that I've had sitting around for a while and finally decided to pull it out and work on it. I'm still working on the red, white and blue quilt...its taking f o r e v e r .... I really don't enjoy the pressing and trimming part, I guess.
Chantel moves into the dorms this week. I try not to think about it, it makes me so emotional. That's all I can say right now...
I was waiting for a picture of the quilt I was working on. I never got that picture taken. That post was written in the early afternoon.
Later that day, at about 4:15 pm, Paul went out for a ride on his bicycle. He was riding down by the UVU campus and ended up in an auto vs bicycle accident. A lady made a left turn in front of him and and he couldn't get around her. He tried but couldn't avoid slamming into her car. He ended up in the Emergency Room and was finally released Thursday evening. He had a huge gash in his lower back that required surgery to clean and close and has a partial tear in one of his muscles that comprise the rotater cuff in his shoulder area. I'm sure that will take months of physical therapy to have return to normal. He is bruised up and swollen and doesn't get around the house too easily right now. It was a terrible phone call to get and even worse that I couldn't find him when I drove down to the intersection he told me that he was at. Worse yet, was driving to the hospital without knowing if he was there yet and what was wrong. The hand of God played so many parts in this and he was definitely looked after as this could have been so much worse. I told him when he came home on Thursday that I was glad he was home and that I wasn't attending a funeral instead. It was a emotional week that has made me think about my priorities and where my focus needs to be. As much as Paul can get on my nerves and I get upset that he leaves cereal boxes out, I remember now that those little irritations really don't matter.
