and this was the end...

Thursday morning was the awards ceremony at the field house. The participants from each of the states marched around the field for about half an hour and then they began announcing the winners. This is a much bigger deal for the senior division than the junior division. Money, trips and full-ride scholarships were awarded. So exciting for some of these kids. :) We didn't win anything once again but it was well worth the experience. Once the ceremony was finished, we headed over to the student union for some lunch. Just relaxing and happy everything was done. We headed over to the library to use the internet and check-in to our flights online. Then drive into DC one last time to let the Christensen's see the Air and Space Museum. We had just about an hour then off to the airport to go home. The flights home were interesting to say the least. A girl's soccer team from BWI to DEN. They got off then a boy's lacrosse team got on. Would you just guess where they sat. Literally surrounding us and our seats. So glad that part of the trip was only an hour. Foul mouths and loud talking, rude, rude, rude boys. Needless to say, I was very happy when we landed ;) Waited for Paul for a little bit to pick us up and home we go.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for Chelsea and I. I throughly enjoyed our time together and just hanging out with Chelsea. So worth the money and time involved. :)
